December, 2007 - Annual Donora HOG Christmas Party

Held at the Cedarbrook Golf Course Clubhouse, the annual party was a nice way to get away from the cold weather outside.  This was the 2nd time the chapter has held their Christmas party at the golf course and as last year, Cedarbrook did not disappoint.  We hope to be back again here in 2008!  Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure and Adam (I included the one just for you :-0~

October 27, 2007 - Harleyween Costume Party

It was a dark and rainy night when a few characters stepped out of the shadows and into the Grange Building...

Oct 12 thru 14th - Hawaii State HOG Rally

Just wanted to share a few pictures from the HOG rally in Hawaii this year.  If you ever get a chance to attend, do-it!  Great weather, great roads, and 75 degrees AT NIGHT! and low 80's during the daytime ...(notes and pictures by Earl Sarain)

October 6, 2007 - The Donora HOG chapter and Cerini Harley-Davidson hosted the second annual Covered Bridge Poker Run

The beautiful weather and scenery drew approximately 180 participants, on an interesting variety of rides, to the open event. The day was capped with a pork roast feed.   The proceeds from the day’s activities will benefit the MDA. This was truly a great event. If you missed it, you will have another opportunity next year.  Here are some pictures from the event:

July 28th thru Aug 22nd Nova Scotia Trip - (notes and pictures by Dave Seery ) - (see full story in the Chapter Newsletter)

Kim, Harry, Jean and I started out at the Rostraver shop at 7:30 in the morning with Eric taking our picture.   We would meet with Al and Beth a week later in Sydney, Nova Scotia

While staying on Brier Island, Nova Scotia we sailed out 17 miles or so in a small rubber boat to hunt for whale and seal.

We saw the world’s highest tide change from two locations along the Bay of Fundy. At Halls Harbor, where lobster is shipped all over the world the boats rested on the ocean floor waiting for high tide to return.

While at the rally in St. John’s, the Chapter hosted a dinner for all the 750 participants. It was convened at the local Knights of Columbus and participants had to dine in two different rooms.

It seemed like we had a rain suit on all the time in Newfoundland and on our return visit to Nova Scotia heading home. Finally our trip home was also mostly cold and rainy in Maine and Northern PA. We arrived home safely on August 22nd , a day later than expected and 5,400 miles if you don’t count the mileage on 8 ferry boat rides. A trip of a lifetime completed with some wonderful company and lots of memories to talk about for years!!!

June 23, 2007 - The ride to Skip and Peaches Camp (Hot Dog Run) - We had twenty six (26) people and fifteen (15) bikes show up for the event!  A good time was had by all.

July 22, 2007 -  Seven members of the Donora HOG Chapter were looking for a ride somewhere on Sunday, July 22nd. It just so happened that the Mon Valley HOG Chapter had a ride scheduled for a lunch at the Jean Bonnet Tavern in Bedford, PA and it was going to be led by the infamous Mon Valley chapter member, Bad Larry. The seven Donora members were: Guy & Joelle; Rick & Nancy; Dave & Kim and Keith
